Thank God for Ed Keels!! I opened an in home childcare as a single mother to 5 children as a way to support my children and provide care for them. I’d always loved little people and had taken college courses in human development but what really hooked me in college was drug and alcohol prevention and recovery. I run my childcare with the intention to instill the coping skills needed to ride the bumpy road of life and not succumb to substances to make life manageable. I’m super passionate and love what I do. 

I however had no business sense. I was desperate for some guidance. I needed help. 

In 2015 I had over 200 on my waitlist. I’m one person with a capacity of 12 children. My waitlist was fifteen years out so I needed to grow. I had no idea what I was getting myself into or how to grow. 

I’m an attempt to self educate I scoured the internet and came across Beyond Breakeven/ Ed keels website. When Ed entered the picture everything changed. He is the teacher/mentor I was searching for. I thank God everyday for the wisdom this man instilled in me. He talked about how to put a plan of action together to be the smartest person in the room no matter who the others in the room are. He taught me to write a business plan, incorporate, financially plan including paying taxes, and advertise just to name a few of the skills instilled in me. 

I can not tell you how important his advice and guidance were in my story. 

Throughout my journey as a small and now a medium business owner, Ed’s words are always inside of me for when I need them. 

I have recently grown to the next level and am in some growing pains and guess who I called first? Ed Keels!! I have decided to incorporate him into the dealings of my business and have hired him now as a consultant.

Thank-you Ed for all of your help! Beyond Breakeven should be a graduate school course. I have an MBA, but learned more from you than I did in 6 years of college, especially your calls regarding entities. That should be a standalone course required for all CPA's and Lawyers. If I had known about you before college I would have been a successful entrepreneur 6 years sooner. 

Since reaching out to Beyond Breakeven I have acquired two automotive businesses, I'm currently working on acquiring my third and fourth. The information you provided me with gave me the secret to interacting with business owners/sellers. What I have learned by applying your counsel is that sellers don't care about the money...I've literally had a seller turn down a $500K cash offer from another buyer and take my offer which was considerably lower because she liked me, trusted me, and felt that I was the perfect person to take over her 45 year old automotive repair business.
